"Love your neighbour as yourself" is the second great commandment (Mark 12.31)

In Ecclesall the six Churches have the opportunity of welcoming their neighbour who has recently moved into the area through the Welcoming Scheme.  We have produced a Welcome Leaflet with information about the Ecclesall area - sugeries, dentists, chemists, Post Offices, Buses etc. - as well details of the Churches and their services.

Normally a welcomer calls with the leaflet to welcome neighbours and to ask if there is anything else that the newcomer would like to know, e.g. wheelie or blue bin day, Brownies and Guides, or whatever, and will put their own name on the leaflet in case further contact is wanted.  The idea is simply to be friendly and available if needed.

If you have recently moved into the area and have not received a leaflet, please contact one of the co-ordinators below.

We often are looking for more welcomers and all we ask is that a welcomer lives near-by and is willing to show a friendly face a few times a year.  Please contact us if you would like to help and be a 'good neighbour'.
