Children and young people share in the worship every Sunday at 10am and have separate groups where they can spend time on age appropriate activities with their leaders. We have toys for toddlers in church, and a crèche room when needed.
Children up to about the age of 14 are encouraged to take part in age related activities during part of the morning service every Sunday. All children above the age of 6 are (after a short course) invited to take Communion with everyone else and are then invited to be Confirmed at around 15.
First is a special service on the first Sunday of every month which has replaced the traditional Family service and is in part experimental. Children are especially welcome at this service, singing their songs and watching a DVD Bible story. At the end, after their craft activities, they particularly enjoy the tasty food on offer.
C-Zone is a special children's service for those aged 4-11 and takes place on the third Sunday of each month at 5pm.
SNF (Saturday Night Fever) is a regular youth group for those aged 10-14 and is a social evening with some Biblical or faith related input by the leaders.
Talkback is for 14-18 year olds, who meet with their leaders for regular Bible study but usually in a less traditional way, eg using topical or media ideas to study and debate. Feast is a regular service organised by Talkback, but can be attended by anyone, and meets on the fourth Sunday of each month at 7pm. As well as being based on something in the Bible, it usually involves food!
Each year the Church runs a Children's Holiday Club and this takes place for one week of the summer holidays. Every morning the children enjoy a mixture of games, craft, story, teaching, songs and refreshments. Look out for details on this website from around June each year.
